Writing about two wrestling shows in one day after not writing at all in over a year?! Yes, let's run this shit into the ground and see if it forces me to get into a routine again.

It's the final episode of television before All In tomorrow afternoon. I wanted to get together with friends and watch the show with British-themed foods and then realized the only British-themed foods I could think of were fish and chips, so I guess that's what we're having.

I mean we could also eat beans and toast but I think I'm okay there. Not that I don't like a full English breakfast, but man it's really something when you realize a country doesn't really have any staple dishes other than "beige stuff". If this was All In Mexico or something we'd be having a fucking feast.

But food is not wrestling, it's just what you have while watching wrestling! And right now I'm eating zero foods, just drinking more coffee and enjoying the cool late-summer breeze. Let's go, bay beeee.

Mercedes Moné's gear is incredible

I mean, that's all. She consistently has the coolest gear on the show and tonight was no exception.

I appreciate how consistently clowned on by and afraid of Willow Nightingale Mercedes is when she doesn't already have the upperhand via sneak attack or something. It's nice that she allows herself to look shaken and completely unhinged screaming at people in the crowd. She's truly one of the best of all time.

My gut says Mercedes is winning at All In but my heart wants Willow to retain. Having a rival you can never beat in big matches is such a fun character trait and it'd be a delight to have Willow be the Raven to Mercedes' Tommy Dreamer.

I'm begging wrestlers to stop doing blind bumps into the corner. They're always terrifying and only look good like 8% of the time. Please. It just seems like such a risky thing to do and we don't need what happened to Otani to happen to anyone else.

Trios on Trios on Trios

It'd be nice if this level of focus was always on the Trios Titles. They often feel like an afterthought, but with the big 7-team Trios Roulette Royale at All In there is a renewed focus on the division.

Seemingly, all signs point to Austin Creed and Kofi Kingston showing up to be the new partners of Swerve Strickland to push the thorn even further into the side of Hangman Page. I'll take it! I haven't watched WWE in maybe a decade at this point so I have no idea if the former New Day can still go but they'll be instantly over and are characters who can make anything watchable.

On Collision, the giant 12-man tag team match kind of became a clusterfuck after Toa Leona landed on Brody King's face with an outside-in senton. Lee Johnston landed nastily outside of the ring but thankfully appeared uninjured. This was followed up by Hangman slipping on the second rope when going for his springboard clothesline, then what looked like Blake Christian popping Hanger in the face with his handspring rebound kick.

I loved the uneasiness between Jay White and Hangman throughout the match and thought the ending told a great story with Jay trying to steal the pin. Not happy to pin Jay Lethal off of a Buckshot Lariat, White went a step further to hit the Bladerunner for the win.

Post-match, The Dogs, Death Riders, and Conglomeration came out for a brawl with all of the teams in tomorrow's Trios Titles match. Surprising (to me, at least), Swerve had no involvement. I'd have thought that with his needling of Hangman lately, they'd be teasing him and a pair of mysterious partners much more than just teasing a full mystery team.

At this point in the show, Collision already surpassed Dynamite as a go-home show for All In. Dynamite was a bit of a snoozer that didn't really feel like it upped the ante for anything on the PPV.

Wrapping Up

Jericho is cooked. I'm sorry, I mean to say Jericho looks cooked. Like he's been laying on hot dog rollers for the past 72 hours. Get a fucking grip, dude. And then also just get off of my television show.

It's pretty cool that we're getting to the Steven Borden Factory. There's been a lot of scuttlebutt about him online since he started training after that excellent Three Stings entrance with his ole pappy a while back.

The story with Darby and Kevin Knight is a great way to bring him into AEW, especially since this puts him at direct odds with the Don Callis Family who has, amongst its 300 members, some guys Borden can beat as he's getting started. Plus, as a guy who didn't go to wrestling school until he was 36, I'll always root for someone who started training at an incredibly stupid age.

This was such a better go-home show than Dynamite. I guess that makes sense as it's the literal go-home show being the final final show before the PPV, but I would have expected the flagship show on Wednesday to have done more to build up All In.

Instead, all of the best stuff was saved for Collision! A lot of build for a lot of matches up and down the card, and this show left me far more excited for Wembley than Dynamite did.
